BO2K.Trojan Variant

Hello!
First..sorry my bad english.
By clicking on an email on yahoo my norton checked a virus called
BO2K.TrojanVariant.
I've surfed to symantec and other sites - no comments that would help me.
i need my pc for working. and so i'm very excited.
Is there anybody out there who can help?
What can I do? Is ist a hoax or real danger?

First of all, Back Orifice will most likely be in the form of a email
attachment ... a file with a .EXE extension. Did you click on that and
thus cause the malware to install? Have you scanned your drive for any
signs that it was installed? Do you use any kind of firewall? The
danger with Back Orifice, and I presume its variants, is that a remote
hacker can have full access to your PC if it's running. So don't use
the internet until you're certain it wasn't installed. Second, if you
don't have one now, I suggest installing one of the freeware
firewalls.

first and foremost - it's not a hoax... your scanner doesn't report
hoaxes, hoaxes are things people send you to scare you needlessly...
when your scanner is scaring you needlessly it's called a false alarm...

second, i'm not sure from your description of the events, what actually
happened... did you click and norton prevented the execution of the BO2k
installer *OR* you clicked and norton did not prevent the execution of
the installer and now you have BO2K installed...

perhaps you don't even know which it is, if so please do the following -
scan your drive with norton and report back with the full results...
