BlueScreen IRQL_Less_or_equal_than?

I'm getting a BSOD message along with some gobbledygook about address locations ending with the phrase: " IRQL_Less_or_equal_than" Less than equal than what? What is an IRQL? These IRQs that irk me have been never this special ed before? Any clues? Hints? Reasons? Anecdotes?

It did kind of start when I put in the TrendNet TEW-424UB Wireless Lan Adaptor.

Should I throw this dinosaur of a PC out the nearest window?

Windows 2000 Pro
