I am trying to reinstall my Windows XP Pro. with the reinstall cd I got from
my manufacturers. However each time I get to the "loading devices" part of
installation I get a blue screen of death.

I want to try fresh install but whenever I reboot the install process just
goes back to where I stopped before.

The blue screen error I get is Stop 0xC2 or BAD_POOL_CALLER

Does anyone know of a fix to this or a way to kill the current install
process and start from the beginning? Pls help!

Hiya, thanks for the response~

Ok so from what I'm reading there it is basically a hardware malfunction?
I'm trying to determine which one since i have not installed anything new
recently. Prior to this i was playing with changing my boot screen and thats
when my XP would stop booting. I tried to boot from a boot disk but that was
a no go hence my reformatting and reinstalling the OS.

But I guess I've just been spiralling since cos now this..

"A kernel-mode process or driver incorrectly attempted to perform memory
operations. Typically, a faulty driver or buggy software causes this."
Video drivers being prime suspect, so see if the makers of your card
have an upgrade driver (and avoid ones at Windows Update)

may refer, or if it is a Compaq, *possibly*
