Blue Screen of Death -- over and over and over again

For the last few days, my computer has been shutting down randomly with no
apparent cause. Every time it does, I get the "blue screen of death" which
tells me that there is a "page fault in a nonpaged area." Here's the killer:
it says the problem is with the file "ntfs.sys." I was under the impression
that said is one of the main system drivers, isn't it? I've tried everything
I can think of -- spyware checks, updates, the Repair and Recovery Console on
the XP installation disc. Nothing works. I would try more complicated
checks, but I'm not that experienced when it comes to in-depth computer
fixes... Just wondering if anyone around here has the same problem, or
(better yet!) knows how to fix it.

Thanks
