blue screen error

i turned on my computer one morning and a blue screen
error came up saying... registration error. the
file "...system\software" is ethier currupt or missing. i
couldn't get to the desktop. can any one help me without
telling me to delete all my files and reinstall the
operating system

There has to be more info then this, a blue screen usually
has a hex decimal code 0x00000000 and where the problem
occurs name_name_name_name, When you get this info go to:
