blue screen error want let computer to shut down

Hello,
I am seeking help to fix a problem my comuter has.I
have windows 2000 professional edition and when shuting it
down a blue screen error pops up as follows;

DRIVER-POWER-STATE-FAILURE
BEGGINNING DUMP OF PHYSICAL MEMORY

Is it possible to get some help on this problem how to
resolve this situation. It is giving a lot of problems to
operate other programs on my computer,too.
