Blue Screen Error - PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

I tried installing Windows XP Pro on my new harddrive and I get a blue screen
error during setup. The error says "PFN_LIST_CORRUPT" and "Technical
Information: ***STOP: 0x0000004E(0x00000099, 0x00000000, 0x00000000,
0x00000000)"

I tried updating my bios but I can't without an operating system. My
motherboard is an ECS PT880PRO-A(ver. 1.01a) Pentium 4 3.6 Prescott. Can
anyone help??
