Blocking SP3

I downloaded the SP blocker from Microsoft and ran it. I checked in
regedit that it changed the value in the proper place.

If I change my mind in the future, do I have to go into Regedit and
change that value, or would I run the blocker EXE again, or what?

Thanks

Essentially, all the blocker does is alter the registry value you
referenced. You could have done that manually had you so chosen. And you
are correct, changing the registry value back to its original value
undoes the block.

Also note that SP3 from *Automatic Updates* is blocked. You can actually
leave the registry alone and still install SP3, provided you install
from CD or DVD or from the standalone package. Personally, that's
probably the better way of installing it anyway, since it gives you more
control.

Why did you install the blocker after all we went through about changing
your AU settings in your other thread?

Jeez...
