block delete/removal of calendar items, 3 month cleanup!?

dear all,

apologies if i am posting in the wrong forum.

my boss has asked me whether it is possible for him to carry out a 'clean' on his outlook calendar, so he can go through and delete the past 3 months or so in one sitting, rather than a month at a time basis?

Why not set up AutoArchiving on his calendar? You didn't mention your
Outlook version so here is a how-to article for Outlook 2007 (you can do your
own research on the MS Office Online website for other versions):

BTW, if you do decide to use archiving and you keep old items in an
archive.pst file, you don't need to import them back into Outlook like the
article I pointed you to says. Instead follow these instructions:

hi there,

its outlook 2003.

he wanted to just delete them rather than archive them, as the desktops and laptops are pretty locked down, i dont have access to gpedit or anything like, and storage of files of a certain size (ie bulky pst files) may cause some issues (political rather than sw issues)

When setting up the AutoArchive, use the Permanently Delete Old Items option
instead of sending the items to a file.
