Blinking Background

Is it possible to have a cell "blink" or "flash" if a
certain condition is met? I have a spreadsheet in which
cell a1 has a date (6/30/05) which does not change
cell a2 has current date that is updated each day
(manually)
cell a3 computes the number of days between a1 and a2
I would like cell a3 to"flash" or "blink" or give some
warning when cell a3 is 5 or less.

any insight would be most appreciated.

Hi

This looks like a task for Format / Conditional Formatting. This feature
allows you to set certain criteira that, when satisfied, will change the
format of the cell (colour, font etc). It doesn't allow flashing, though.
