Blank spots on screen

The spot that should say OK, GO, Cancel, Next, etc. is blank on almost every
page I go to. I can place the mouse's arrow over the right spot & the arrow
will turn into a "hand" and I can click onto the next thing. That can be
very time consuming. Does anyone have an idea about the answer to this
problem? I am running Windows XP and IE Ver. 6.

I have tried all of those things. My menus do not disappear. The little box
when you are on a website trying to download something, go to the next page,
etc. That is when it is not visible.

What version of IE? In Internet Options, Advanced tab, make sure all
Multimedia options are checked. In Internet Options, Security tab,
click the "Default Level" button.
