Hello,

I have IBM T60, (T5600(1.83GHz), 1GB RAM, 120GB 5400rpm HD, 15in
1400x1050 LCD, 128MB ATI Radeon X1400, CDRW/DVDRW, 802.11n wireless,
Bluetooth/Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, Secure chip, Ultranav, Fingerprint
reader) laptop. Recently, after Windows splash screen showed up,
instead of giving me the login page it switches off the screen
completely (including , and it remains blank forever. Sometimes I
still able to get login screen.

Logging the boot using ntbtlog.txt do not show any differences between
successful and unsuccessful boots. This laptop has ACHI HDD
controller, which could be switched off to Compartibility mode.
(Windows comes without ACHI driver but it is provided by
manufacturer). In Compartibility mode, black screen do not show up.
Though, laptop was using that ACHI for many months, so likely it's not
the cause. Drivers for most other devices were reinstalled.

I would like to learn which software I could possibly use to diagnost
what's wrong. Or any suggestions =)

Cheers, Askar

Pressing F8 during startup, just after the BIOS screen, will give you the
safe mode menu, including the option to create a '%windir%/ntbtlog.txt'
bootlog file
