Is there an option in Microsoft Excel 2003 to fill in blank cells with a "0"
without having to manually do it? Thanks in advance.

This is manually but not cell after cell.
Select the range in question, press F5, select Special, select Blanks and
press enter or click OK.
Type a zero and enter it with ctrl + enter instead of enter
