Please help me in solving a problem of mine.
I want to interact with another computer in following manner.
I want to turn my computer screen into a Blackboard, so that I can write on
it.
How do I do it?
Please note that I want to write and not type the text on computer screen.

Further I want to connect it with another computer, so that whatever I am
writing can be seen by the other computer.
This has to be two way connection, so that whatever is written in the other
computer can be seen by me.
Is it possible to configure the computer to this?
Is there any software available for this purpose, preferably a free one?
I will be grateful if somebody helps me finding a way to do it.
Regards.

Get a cheap blackboard from Staples. Cover half the screen with the
blackboard, then connect and point a webcam at it. Do the same with the
other machine.

Hi Jon,
A very novel suggestion.
Its completely new to me.
What type of blackboard is this.
I mean it is made up of what?
What about clarity? Will letters be clearly visible?
Regards.

Thanks Jon for the feedback,
I dont know whether it would have served my purpose, but it is out of bound
for me due to cost factor.
Regards.

Depending on what you mean by writing, both MSN Messenger and Windows
Messenger have "whiteboard" functionality, which is free. This would enable
you to draw / write on the screen (using the mouse) and for other person to
view that.

( Actions > Start Whiteboard... in both programs)

Thanks Jon for the suggestion,
I will ask my friend to get Windows Messenger and then try to see whether it
solves our problem.
You say using mouse we can write on the screen.
Can we install a stylus pen to help us write on the screen?
Regards.

If your friend has Windows XP, then they will have Windows Messenger
automatically. Otherwise you can download MSN Messenger for free

http://messenger.msn.co.uk/download/os.aspx

I don't think you can, unless you either spend money on something like a new
tablet pc,

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/tabletpc/evaluation/about.mspx

or spend money on something like that touchscreen solution, I mentioned
earlier. Someone else may know better on that one, though. Maybe that webcam
suggestion wasn't so crazy after all.

Thanks Jon,
If anything works out I will let you know.
Regards.
