Black & White Capture

I have connected my Sony DCR-TRV350 using s-video cables that go through the
ATI TV Wonder Pro Video Adapter. The adapter is an s-video/composite video
adapter however when I try to capture my video from the tape, it appears in
black and white. Anyone encounter this before and possibly have a solution?

S-video and composite use different colour channels. Can you not use
compostite connections from the cam? Is the video in ntsc and you are trying
to capture as PAL? which can also have this effect.
