Black screen

After installing the "Parslewsky Security Suite" ( a german product I
believe, highly promoted by COMPUTERBILD) the PC shuts down. From that point
on each reboot got me a black screen, what ever was the rebooting option. So
I reinstalled XP with a bootable CD, with the same result: Black screen. The
booting sequence seems OK to a certain point, stopping with the launching
of the applications and the XP background screen. I would appreciate any
advice, because my own ideas are burnt out.

After relooking to the phenomina I have to bring followinf information, as
I'am no longer sure that it is a real "Black screen" and that the
reinstallation of XP failed. Why?
1)Bios messages as well as thw windows logo show up, but not the desktop,
but a black screen8 showingin the 4 coners the safe mode notice.
2)The vans are turning, the CPU lamp is permantly on (~100%) and the HD
access lamp flashs regularly, but very shortly It seems that the CPU is
looping . (Remember it happended after I installed the Kaspersky Personal
Security Suite, antivir, anti hacker, etc))
3) So could it be that this program starts first, monopolizes the PC anf for
some reason doesn't come to an end. If so, is there a possibility to get rid
of it, at least to empeach it to start at boot, but not under XP, but in an
other way (floppy, build in the disk in an other computer, ....
Thanks for your advices.

At this point - because you already tried a Repair Install - your best
course of action is to format the drive and do a Clean Install of Windows.

If you have data on the drive that you forgot to back up, you can get the
data by:

1. Booting with Knoppix or a Bart's PE to get it.
2. Slaving the hard drive in another machine with a working Windows
installation and see if you can copy the data off with Explorer.

Otherwise, here are links to help you with the Clean Install:
