Black icons

Hi,

Some of my icons have turned black.
Everything was fine before the holidays.. then after leaving
the computer turned off for almost 2 weeks,,,, I find that 90%
of my icons have turned black.

Only icons from shell32.dll, but not all of them, as MyPictures, MyVideos,
etc
are displaying fine..
I suspect that my shell32.dll is corrupt. But how can I replace it?

Do you think that it will get fixed if I install SP2?


System:
Laptop Toshiba Satellite, Windows XP home Edition SP1.

Have you tried to do a system restore to when everything was working fine?
That would be my first attemp and only after I get that solved I would
install SP2.

Hi Elaine - Try Repairing them using TweakUI|Repair then select Rebuild
Icons from the dropdown.
