Birthday Reminders

Is it possible to set the default reminder for birthdays
in contacts to anything else but 15mins before the
birthday occurs? (ie at 11.45pm the evening before the
birthday)

You would need to reset the default reminder time for all reminders - simple
answer.

More complicated answer is to set your calendar view by category. Export
the calendar to an Excel spreadsheet and change the times for your category
universally there. Then reimport.
