BIOS replacing in ST340017A

hi again. I still have problem with my disk which is locked at capacity 10
Gb although it's 40 Gb. To enable disk at full capacity i used (like i was
adviced here) Hitachi Feature Tool v. 1.90 b.1 but it didn't work. After
trying to change capacity i was told by program tha "you cannot change
capacity of this disk with this version of program". I've checked all over
Internet and I couldn't find newer version because it's probably doesn't
exist. So maybe anyone know how to change firmware in my disk, which
software i should use and where can i get it from (software and original
firmware of ST340017A). If anyone know anything please let me know. I've
tried almost everything to change my drive capacity back to normal and I'm
slowly running out of ideas.

If FT failed then it may be a 'Device Configuration Overlay'.

This has been discussed in a thread called:
