BIOS flash for Sempron on M7NCG-400

For some reason I am temporarily unable to enter the
Biostar website, but I need to know if they have a BIOS
update for their M7NCG-400 motherboard so that it
will properly recognize a Sempron.

A friend's Athlon XP 2000+ died and as I can't get an
XP, I tried a Sempron 2400+. It works fine, but at FSB
166 it shows the actual clock speed in POST as an
Athlon XP 1666MHz (not a + PR) and Everest Home
1.51 shows it as an Athlon XP 2000+.

I don't need to do the flash right now but I do need the
info. Can anyone please help ?

Yes, around Q3 of last year they added that, BUT it should
only be necessary for cosmetic reasons, so it shows the
correct "XP(nnnn)" name and that it's a Sempron, instead of
it being called an Athlon of different XP name.

Is that a problem?
Personally, I'd rather see the MHz rating. If your friend
needs convincing then a simple Google search should turn up
the MHz speed of that Sempron.

There were probably several bios updates since the one that
first recognized any Semprons, just use the newest bios as
it might resolve any other random bugs too, or leave current
bios, it's only a cosmetic problem.
