Raid 0 is a waste of time. you may as well just but ONE larger Hard Drive for
the computer

I disagree.
Price: 2*500GB is a lot cheaper than 1*1TB for example.
Performance.
I do agree that anyone who does raid-0 on important data without a rock
solid backup strategy is crazy. But then I think anyone who hasn't got that
strategy for non-raid is crazy too.
Even raid-5 is only part of a backup strategy.

If you're going into BIOS setup to set the boot sequence, it should
stick. If you're using a function key to select the boot disk during
POST, then it's just a one time override of the default boot drive.

I agree with you; back up, and back AGAIN. Raid 0 is NOT a backup. At least
with raid 1 it is a mirror. Raid 5 is OK for servers,as long as you have at
least 2 Servers to ensure you don't lose it; if you are lucky.

have a good day.
