Big jpeg problem

I've recently upgraded to Office 2003. A presentation that was created prior
to the upgrade is causing me real problems. I can't see a jpeg in the
'normal' view but if I view slides it appears as does onscreen slide show.
I've created a new powerpoint presentation and reimported the jpegs but the
same thing happens. I'm desperate. Please can anyone offer any help?!

How many pixels does your JPG have?

e.g. 1024x768 or what?
