Bginfo with Vista

I have several testing laptops loaded with Vista for testing in my
department. We use Bginfo for all machines in our network and Bginfo is
barfing all over the desktop of the Vista machines. Maybe barfing is a strong
description but when the IP is asked for bginfo maps 15 interfaces. Are there
any plans for controlling this or suggestions for avoding it?

I'm sure that the author of BGINFO will be updating it for Vista since he
did for Windows Server 2003. You'd need an updated version to fix the
problem - or drop the IP address from the display.

BGinfo is now owned by Microsoft therfore does anyone have any insight on a
possible update since there is no Microsoft forum for a simple product like
Bginfo? The IP on the desktop is one of the primary reasons why we use BGinfo
in our school district so without it we may as well not use the product at
all.

Thanks all

Actually, Charlie, there is. There's a 'Forum' link on new MS Sysinternals
site (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/default.mspx) which
points to http://forums.sysinternals.com. One of Forum topics is exactly
about BGInfo:

I don't know how big is Sysinternals forums community so you may wish to
contact Mark Russinovich or Otto Helweg via their blogs at:
