Beta2 RC2 upgrade

I tried to install (from the DVD) Vista Beta 2 RC2 as an upgrade. After
approx 50mins and 58% through the "completing installation" I got the
message that windows had encounted a problem, would have to shut down and
and revert back to my original installation(RC1) any one else had this
problem and if so how have you got over it.

This happened to me.

Then I installed from fresh, by fresh, I mean partition and format the disk,
it worked. I'm up on RC2. and yes it's faassstttt!

I reasearched on Google and found the correct way to upgrade RC1 to RC2.
You DON'T boot from the RC2 DVD.
Instead insert the DVD while running Vista RC1 and then run setup. It will
reboot a few times and then you will have RC2. Eat a big meal - it took me
an hour with a AMD64 3700+ and 4GB RAM.

That's pretty good time. Upgrades take about three times longer than Custom
installations because of all the file moving and reinstallations.
