Beta Microsoft Antispyware

Hello,

I downloaded the beta microsoft antispyware and this
program is not running it's scheduled scans and this
program is not receiving updates manually, because there
is always no connection and this program icon is
constantly being deleted from the toolbar and in the help
section I am not able to connect to the support newgroups
and I cannot connect to the spyware community.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled this program several
times and I am still faced with the same problems.

Thank You,

Locate gcasDtServ.exe and double click. Add a shortcut gcasDtServ.exe to
your Desktop. Oddly when you double click the shortcut it doesn't start
MSAS but places an icon in the Notification Area of the Taskbar. Double
click on that and MSAS starts.

Others have overcome Start problems in different ways but what I have
described works for me.

When you attempt to update select File, Update. However, make sure that
Internet Explorer is Online and not Offline when you make your attempt.
You may also have to configure your Firewall to allow MSAS to send and
receive.

Given your message here have you now overcome the problem of connecting
to these private newsgroups?

Hope this helps.
