beta anti spyware

once I download spyware is this enough? or do I need to
run it? I downloaded it and it promted me back later to
the microsoft page and all it said was "thanx for
downloading"

Once you have downloaded it to specified folder or the desktop, you need to
run it by double clicking on the executable.
