Please help! I love the new 16x9 wide-screen flat panel lcds. I have a
budget of about $700. I want to watch dvd's, avi's, and do a little "light"
gaming.

Is there a web site devoted to flat panels, or to wide-screens in
particular?

Any brand recommendations? Are there some lcds I should stay away from?

Thanks!

Ditto! Would love a 16:9 screen! (Have a 17" NEC LCD currently.) What I
found so far is a 17" Samsung 172W which is conspicuous by its absence from
any official Samsung web sites but does appear on some retailer sites
(http://www.digiuk.com/samsung/ and click on Computer displays, TFT's, 17"
TFT's, SM172 series and scroll down to SM-172W) and a 23" Sony SDMP232W
here:

And that's about it apart from some 16:10 30" and 40" NEC and Samsung models
destined for home cinema purpose.
