Best way to save?

As a matter of opion (as I'm sure I'll get several opinions). What is
the best format to save my finished movies for qualitys sake. I thought
it was AV/DVI, but I can't seem to use my Nero to burn the AV/DVI files
without having to convert them back to mpeg, which kind makes the whole
AV/DVI save kinda moot.

Thanks,

Raoul

If you capture as dv-avi, saving as dv-avi retains the quality of the video.
DVD players only play vobs which are wrapped up mpeg2's so you have to
convert to this format to make your dvd. If you save your movie as a wmv you
compress it to this format and then compress again to get the mpeg2,
something you do not want to do.

I doubt you will get too many different opinions on this one.
Graham is 100% correct. The only time DV-AVI is not the best format to
choose is when your project is made up entirely of still images and audio.
Then High Quality NTSC is the best option but otherwise DV-AVI is the way to
go.
