You appear to approach the correct time setting in small steps.
First you were one day ahead, then 12 hours behind, now you're

No, you haven't - you now appear to post in the past (unless
your reply was delayed somewhere by about 12 hours).

well I found my old JVPowerTools v1.41 program I had got back in 2004 - it
was on my old W98 computer.
On it's menu I go to> file tool> shortcuts fixer tab, and I wasn't sure at
first that it was only going to list the Start Menu, but upon using it I
found it was unlimited to what it could find anywhere on my drive... it
found 1453 broken shortcuts on my D partition, OMG!... but one by one maybe
I'll do 50 a day and I will go to each one and deal with it one way or the
other.. I can see now that there are so many different variations of issues
with these that's the only way to do it hands on which some assimilate by
themselves instantly, some I have to manually. this easily seems like the
best program I've tried so far to list them, and some options, but best of
all I already have it.

thanks everyone for the replies and this closes out this post for me

thank you

no I'm good, unless you teasing me. I see yours as an hour before mine, so
if your not teasing and are serious about this, then I'm guessing maybe the
ms servers or whom/whatever, don't adjust for that unique situation where
every state did not follow the new change in some SpringForward and FallBack
time change dates they came out with this year, like my state did and does.

back to shortcuts - I see the newer (macecraft) JV powertools after my v4.1
version (any v5 or above versions) do not offer the complete options to
browse search everywhere for broken folder/file shortcuts, and they cheaped
out and only do the Desktop and Start menu. hey no problem then, I've got
mine v4.1 and it works excellent for what I need to do.
