best place in web for pdf file?

I have a 589K pdf file that I want to have viewers access through a pop-up
browser window. No problem except the file seems to load very slowly.

The file resides in the root of the web. Is there a better place for the
file where it might load faster?
 
there is no appreciable difference. if you're planning on adding more PDF
files you may want to make a folder or subweb to keep them all together and
out of your way. you could also use a FrontPage "sitemap" to provide an
index of them or make an index page for this folder with links and
descriptions of the PDF files.
