I need a plain text program that features spell checking.

I am running Windows XP.

Absolutely no Rich Text or formatting ability, please.

Which is the best program?

features for a text editor , and spell checking in many languages

I don't think this works on XP, as I've just tried to install it and it
notifies me of an non valid drive it's trying to install into
(C:\Program Files\notespad)!

I favor Notepad2 and a small script that sends any text you like to the
MS Word spellchecker. This is my strategy for writing w/o the

use "tinySpell" , to check my spelling where ever I type (including
this typing) ===
