All free (all of thiese have found infections (or other positive effect)
other applications failed with.

Allround Virus scanner: Downloadable BitDefender (other free scanners as
complement)
OL virus scanner: Kaspersky

In emergency: 30day trial Trojan Hunter.

In the long run the difference between the best and low ranked canners are
HUGE!!!

Virus active monitor /shield: Antivir (sens of stable function)

Crap Cleaner: CCleaner (CrapCleaner) Use step-wise....
Cleaner with help: Sweepi (wizard mode)
Cleaner with profiles (and user profile): G-Lock TempCleaner

Ad /spyware: SpyBot, Adaware, X-cleaner
"Counterspyware" /quicksearch: Bazooka
Watch to hidden changes: WinPatrol (Scotty, the watch dog) I would like some
more advise /hints in a "best watchdog" though.

===
Useless: CWShredder (if using best ranked freeware. Otherwise
complementary.)

Morgan, you need to look at the above as tools that provide some ability
to mitigate a bad situation. I'm assuming you carry auto insurance (and
am assuming you're old enough to drive). Auto insurance isn't a
substitute for good driving habits; it's there to mitigate the damage
bad driving can cause. You know, mindlessly blathering on a cell phone,
applying make-up while speeding through traffic, you get the picture.
Those are all bad habits that in their absence, reduces the need for
auto insurance.

What you say may comply to most situations.

In my case I have had around 100 regitered scans of my ports just the last
~6months. I don't know why.... perhaps I'm just popular :blush:P

But, I also know some websites are loaded with crap. How much lower the
vurnerability among non MS-browsers is unknown to me. But, they can't be
100%.

The late problems I have had is still not over. Either there is some
"generator" left at my hdd or some shit still penetrating.

This morning: 050907 Antivir: Netsky.P. (~35st) PHISH/Bankfraud.B (~5st)
/// SpyBot: CasinoPopup Alexa Related CoolWWWSearch StartpageEH
WebTrendsLive

Note. The computer was scanned /cleaned with other scanners anly yesterday
morning. After that I thought it was clean for sure... but no! Also note
that no ambigous sites have ben viseted for weeks.

What I'm saying is that not only wreckles drivers can be caught in a mass
colition.

Have you physically replaced the drive? Or at least, have you
wiped it with a specialized program at least 3 times?

~50 scans last 10 days. Virus found (and documented) almost every time.
