Best feedback method

Hello,

The best reporting method for BUGS is to download the problem reporting
tool:

http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=43655

With your permission, this tool will attach your hardware information and
event logs along with your report, as well as other useful information, so
that Microsoft will have an easier time in tracking down your bug.

The sentiments website is for general feedback and not bug reports.

Read the next paragraph and use the link to start the download and
installation of the bug reporting tools.

I deleted the Feedback shortcut from my desktop, but now have another
problem - which is the problem\bug I wanted to report.

I can't download files from the internet. IE starts the download load shows
the progress but at the end of the download the file can't be found
anywhere. Actually the download box should remain open so I can click on
the open folder button but the box totally disappears.

I know someone else discussed this bug but I haven't seen a reply that
solved the issue. At least not while using IE. Interestingly this did not
happen while running Vista 32 only while running Vista 64.

I've tried resetting IE through the Advance options, but that didn't resolve
the issue. Any new ideas out there?

Thanks,
Mark.

Use the x86 edition to download the files and save to the x64 partition then
restart and install. Of course, that doesn't solve the connectivity.
However you can save the cab file to the x86 partition and then use the MBC
there to send it on to MS. You can also use the MBC from the x86 side or
from another computer to report the bug. Just indicate that "this does not
happen on this machine" (a checkbox or radio button). Saving the cab file
is better because it will contain all the machine files needed for analysis.
