Best 3D mark?

What would you say was the best 3D mark to use to test my new rig 3D mark03,05 or 06 and what is a good scrore.

Depends on the spec, if its a brand new high spec gaming rig then go for 06 or 05 if its a wee bit older. If its old tech then go for 03 or even 01. :thumb:
 
With this system:

Asus P5B Deluxe Motherboard
2Gb Corsair Memory
Intel Dual Core E6600 2.4Ghz
BFG 640Mb 8800GTS Video card

Using 3D Mark 06 I got a score of 8343, which isn't too bad at all.

As the others have said, which 3D Mark you use depends on your system.

QX6700 quad core running at 2.66 Ghz
2x 1150mhz pc2-9200 ocz flexXLC memory
EVGA nforce 680i SLI motherboad
2x EVGA 8800gtx ko acs3 video cards

Nice spec, now go and run 3DM06 or 05 dont bother with 03. :thumb:

Then post up your results, or a comparison url.
 
Good, shame the 8800 Drivers still do a crap job at SLI, would be better if they had got it sorted.

What monitor are you running it on?
 
At the min i have the samsung syncmaster 226bw but hope to get a 32in as soon as i can

Ah just twigged, your the guy whos wife bought him the pc right? From Mesh? Is this still the same rig? Running smooth and ok?

LOL yep thats me m8.
no its not the same rig this one works had a hell of a hard time getting my money back from mesh had to go online to there site almost evey day and give them a hard time and had a independant engineer get in touch with them to get my money back as thay were telling me that there was nothing wrong with the pc.
Its all good now had this rig custom built by the same engineer and he only lives 3 doors down the road from me so if i get any problems hes only 2 mins away

Sounds like the CS is way better than mesh. Did you see them on watchdog the other week??

Hi Adywebb.
I've been crunching for must be 5-6 years now maybe more started with SETI.
I would be happy to join the team but becouse this pc is 4 days old i wont to run it for a week or 2 first to make shore i have not problems if all gos well i'll PM you and join the team if thats ok.

What projects other than Seti have you been crunching, and for what teams?
 
Im a astrophotogrpher so ive been doing SETI , Einstein and the Climate prediction projects.
Never crunched in a team before so this will make a nice change.
As soon as i no i can run this pc at 100% with no problems its yours m8y
