begin physical memory dump

When playing Diablo2 the computer will go to a blue screen
with a message saying "Begin physical memory dump" and it
just stays there. I have to reboot. My system is:
P4-3.0 GHz cpu
Asus P4C800E MB
512 memory
Win 2000 Pro with SP3
What is going on and can/how do I stop it?

A blue screen with memory dump might be a sign that your
video drivers are not up to date or you have a broken
piece of hardware ( since u told us that it starts when
you play the game it might be that problem ) you can also
try to find a patch for DiabloII maybe they have a patch
which will help you with this.

I always had problems with that game running it in 3d. Try the 2d mode, it
really don't look much different and my lockups went away....
