Beeps

My PC boots OK but during POST emits one beep (the normal one) but,
recently, follows this with three short beeps slightly spaced apart.
Soltek SL-75DRV5, Bios version 6.00 (latest). Any advice on what these
beeps mean? System all runs fine.

This is not documented on official sites, but many Ami bios implementations
give a lot of short beeps. In fact, one short beep, immediately followed by
some other short beeps. The first one means a normal boot, while the others
reveal the number of USB devices connected.

Thanks but it doesn't. None of the codes I can see match what I am
getting and everything is working just fine. Possible that I have some
memory stick on its way out so will investigate that.

Could be but why should it suddenly start out of the blue? That's what
is puzzling. Still, the system is working fine at the moment.
