Hi, We have upgraded our company's PC's (6)from Win98 to
XP over the weekend and now the PC's keep beeping when we
enter invoices etc into Quickbooks or if we press a wrong
key. This is driving us nuts!

I have gone into regedit and turned beeps to no. I have
also chose "no sounds" in the control panel but to no
avail. We are still getting this irritating noise.

Could someone please tell me how to turn it off? We have
no sound cards in these machines.

Thanks

Pat

Unplug the speakers from the sound card for a bit. If the beeping is
still going on then, it's coming from the internal speaker in the PC
and is probably NOT related to the OS.
