Beep action

I am using A2000 with W2000. Is the beep command one that
is supposed to work? I copy and paste the example in the
help section on a form exactly-but no go. In a macro,
nothing either. Just silence. i want a beep and a
message on update. I get the message but no sound.

Perhaps you do not have a sound set up for the Beep.

Start + Control Panel + Sounds and Audio devices + Sounds
Click on the Drop Down Program Events until you come to the Default
Beep.
Highlight it and click on the Play Sound arrow. Is there a sound?
If not select one from the Sounds combo box.
