be able to assign dates to flags and make a search folder by date

I keep a window with inbox open, and a window with the search folder of
flagged items open simultaneously. I'd like to be able to either make a
search folder by flag color OR better yet, be able to assign a follow up date
to a mail. Then i could make search folders by dates and follow up to mails
on certain dates.

Outlook 2007 has extensively overhauled the flag and color mechanism so that it can probably handle what you want to do.
