BCM 2007 on remote server

hi,
I have access to hosted SQL Server (enterprise version) which have
default instance name and listening on default port. There is no
possibility to change this settings.

This server have access to Active Directory where my users are. I have
copied database from one workstation to server and I have assigned
users rights to read and write on this database.

But I cannot connect to this server even when I change registry
settings (HLM\Software\Microsoft\Business Solutions eCRM) regarding
instance and port.

Is any solution which could cause that BCM be able to connect to this
server?

Best regards
Bob

Can the same user connect to the database without BCM; e.g. using
sqlcmd or osql?
