BCM 2007: Accounts creation or opening fails

We have an odd issue with our BCM accounts.

We can't open, or create, any of the accounts. The screen simply doesn't
open, but there is no error report or warning.

However, we can still add contact persons, or add data to accounts through
the pull down menu. All those screens still function. We can still see, and
scroll through, the list of accounts.

What to do?
