BBATI Radoen 8500 problem

Hi,

I upgraded my pc last week and had to take out the graphics card and upoun
reinstalling the Radeon 8500 (275core/mem) I notcied my games run for about
20 seconds then the system freezes. The same problem when playing dvd's with
hardware accelartion enabled.

I have Gigabyte GA-7VRXP
Athlon 1000 mhz
256mb PC2700 ram
Windows XP Pro
Latest Catalyst drivers

Is this a sign of a failing graphics card and if so will ATI send me a new
one?

You can test by lowering GPU to 250 MHz. Look at your system too, OpenGL
games put CPU at 100% usage so could be overheating. Test RAM by running
Memtest86. Change BIOS setting and disable AGP fast writes. Look at
