battery won't charge

Hi
I have a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo D1845 laptop with a problem. For th
first while after buying it everything worked perfect, then it jus
stopped charging the battery. I contacted the vendors who sent me
new charged battery and it ran off this till the battery discharge
and then wouldn't charge the new battery. It works fine off the main
but this defeats the purpose for me of having a portable laptop. Woul
anyone have any pointers? thank
 
I would suspect the contacts first, some lint or foreign matter in the
contact area. Do you get a flashing amber LED when charging?
 
sounds like a problem with the motherboard, hope you have a warranty.
If you do call Fujitsu.
