Batch Process: Inserting Multiple Images, One Per Slide?

J

J. Danniel

Hello. I'm using Power Point 2003.

Is there a way to do a batch process of bitmap inserts, once per
slide?

I have 25 bitmap images, and want to have 25 slides, each containing
one bitmap image. Instead of creating a slide, inserting the image,
creating another slide, inserting the image, etc., one-by-one, is
there a way to automate this process?

If so, what's the easiest method to do such a task? Would it require
a macro? Would the macro have to be edited or created for each slide
show presentation?

Or is it ultimately easier to just make a slide with an inserted image
one-by-one?

Thank you!

Hi Kurt.

This does what I want, but it resizes the images. I tried using
Picture Layout/Fit to Slide, and 1 Picture, but some images are
resized far too much. Format/Size shows them at 100% which is clearly
not correct.

Can you think of any way to override this option, so that the images
are inserted in their original scale and not resized?

Thank you!
Jack,
Try Insert/Picture/New photo album...

No sorry Jack, I really don't know.
Have a look at Echo S's links. Maybe those tools do not resize your images.
I could help you if you set a maximum placeholder in which your images are
resized to fit. Let me know if you need that functionality but it is not for
free. Depends on your update frequency.
Good luck

Hello,

PowerPoint's Photo Album feature doesn't provide the functionality (insert
without resizing) that you are looking for.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint provide this kind of functionality, don't forget to send your
feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
