I'm looking for an Windows batch conversion program that can resize
images and paste then on a black background.

all sources images are jpegs, destinations are jpeg too.

I don't want to spend the night on the job !

Carl,

IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com/) can resize the images and put a
border around them (using the Canvas Size option). You can select the
border width on all four sides and its color. This might just do the job!
