Batch files under XP

I use batch files for a number of things, some which are running
all the time (but use little resource). They are run minimized.

Is there some way of preventing them from appearing in the Task
Bar, but still showing in Task Manager so that I can terminate
them if I need to (my error checking in the batch files isn't 100%)?
