Batch files error out after installing Windows 2K critical updates

We have been running the same batch file which runs many
exe files and makes calls to various other batch files
without issue. But since we have applied the last 4
critical updates from Microsoft the batch file now stops
for no reason at various places. We have put in added
logging to see if it stops performing a specific
operation with no noticeable pattern.

Question.
Has anybody else had any similar problems running dos
batch files?

You write "It stops for no reason". There is always a reason -
please quote specific instances where the batch file stops,
i.e. what command it executes and what message you see.
