Basic Question... Reports and "Masking" Pri. Keys

I have a report that uses the value of a combo box contained within a
"parent" report to determine the display contents of a label within the
report header. It has always functioned as desired, however, I recently
relocated the table that houses the desired information and I've linked it to
the database which contains the form and report, I've made the necessary
changes to accomodate all references, however, since this transistion, the
report label will only display the Primary Key autonumber of the desired
record, opposed to the 3rd column value that I want it to display. I've
searched microsoft online to no avail, can anyone throw me some tips in this
regard? I realize this is probably a basic question, but my expertise is
certainly not programming access databases, and unfortunately the information
I am requesting is of relatively high value to the report in question. Many
thanks in advance for any assistance.
