Basic filter question

I have a column with different addresses of people. I want to find just a
few groupings within the text, such as a building name. I can't sort it
since the cell begins with a room number and the building is within the text.

What is the advanced filter method to get results quick? I'm not sure what
to do.

Use Data | Filter | AutoFilter but then select the Custom option with
"contains" johnclin, whatever.
