balloon tips - shorten the display time?

I know about disabling them, but I'd rather keep them if I could just
shorten the display time to a few seconds. I've seen one reg hack (Kellys
Korner number 7) that says it'll lengthen the display time (can it be
modified?) but nothing about shortening the time.

Thanks for the tips, but lowering the value from 5 to 2 didn't seem to
alter the behavior. I still have to manually click on each ballon tip before
it disappears.
Judging from the value you had me change, I'm guessing they're supposed
to disappear by themselves after 5 seconds. That doesn't happen, so I guess
I have a problem elsewhere. Any more ideas?
